Executive Function and Critical Thinking for Workers with Autism (2 hr)
$50.00
In this webinar you will learn the many people with autism have difficulty with Executive Functioning and Critical Thinking. A person with Autism may have trouble with certain skills like planning, staying organized, sequencing information, and self-regulating emotions. Some have difficulty with complex thinking that requires holding more than one train of thought at the same time. For instance, Temple Grandin once said: “I cannot hold one piece of information in my mind while I manipulate the next step in the sequence.” Monica will provide examples and support strategies that address challenges in executive function difficulties.
In addition, we will discuss Critical Thinking, the ability to draw on existing knowledge and experience to solve a problem, compare and contrast, be able to explain why things happen, evaluate ideas and form opinions, predict future actions and think of creative solutions. Monica will provide examples and strategies for Critical Thinking too.
