Webinars

Designed for providers, teachers, families, and parents, our webinars offer practical strategies and support for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities in areas like employment, recreation, and residential living. You’ll gain actionable insights, concrete examples, and specific strategies—not just an overview. We provide all the details you need.

If you’re seeking deeper, more focused content, our webinars deliver just that. We go beyond the surface, offering real-life, targeted guidance. While many focus on behavior and challenges with autism, we shift the focus to communication, independence, and choice. Rather than a caregiving approach, we teach you how to adopt a coaching and teaching mindset.

Adults with Autism: Structure and Predictability          3 CEU – DDA Available, 3 Clock Hours for School District Teachers

Recommended Audience:

  • Supported Employment Agencies
  • School District Transition Program Teachers and Paraeducators
  • Community Inclusion Agencies
  • Residential Providers
  • Self-Advocates (those with lived experience)
  • Families and Guardians.

The importance of structure and routine is widely acknowledged as a research-based best practice that creates a more predictable, accessible, and secure environment. By providing clear expectations, structure can also support personal autonomy and independence, reducing reliance on others (such as verbal prompting). When the environment and processes are consistently organized, everyone knows what to expect and what is expected of them, fostering greater independence and confidence.

In this training, Monica will share her personal experience supporting autistic adults in areas such as work, recreation, and home life. She will also incorporate humor and personal stories from her journey as the parent of an autistic adult with an intellectual disability, intractable seizure disorder, and other medical challenges, highlighting his remarkable resilience. We hope you’ll consider this presentation for yourself, the staff you support, and everyone navigating life as neurodivergent.
