Autism and Sensory Processing (3 hr)

In the training you will learn to understand the various senses and how they contribute to everyday functioning while recognizing common sensory differences in individuals with ASD. I will explain how sensory processing differences might affect persons with ASD in terms of behavior, learning, and performance and how this all contributes to the ability to access their community, work, healthcare provider and spiritual needs. In addition, I will provide you with examples and support strategies to possibly help with a person’s sensory needs.
