The original purpose of “Person Centered Planning” is unfortunately being degraded by adjectives like; Person Centered “Thinking,” Person Centered “Values”, rather than the primary intent of putting the person with the disability “Front and Center.” Person Centered Planning should not be a fleeting thought, a kumbaya moment or a value to work towards, but a process that identifies the strengths, talents, hopes and dreams of an individual with a disability to live, work, thrive and enjoy their life.
